I mean, I really love dogs in general, but dude, Great Danes are awesome. That’s like 180 pounds of dog right there, gentlest pup you ever met.

I had a fawn Dane and you're absolutely right. Best dogs ever. That's why I'll never have another dog. No dog could ever measure up. Literally.

My sister and her husband foster Great Danes. Every time I visit them, they have a different one. It’s great.

Not sure I could deal with having a dog with that sort of a life-span (common problem for all huge dogs). Or all the poop, that’s got to be a lot of poop.

That’s the best part about our LaPitBoxer, she is as dumb as a Boxer, as loyal as lab, and is as affectionate as a well trained pit. Plus none of the common health problems.

I’m a big mastiff fan in general, and Great Danes are amazing family dogs. I often blow peoples minds when I recomend them for apartment life (assuming your rental company doesn’t ban dogs over a certain weight). They are so laid back and lazy that they do well with short walks around the neighborhood and some light play.
I con’t have a Dane right now, but do have a Bullmastiff and an Olde English Bulldogge.. Bull and Mastiff breads are the only dogs for me.

180lbs right here too - divided into two dogs, so that gives 8 paws that can step on you :)
